What’s your story?

We hosted a series of interviews with the founding team to hear all sides of the company.

What makes them different?
What were the founding principles?
How could this new brand show up?

Then, we brought everybody together for an interactive naming workshop. Landed on a core brand idea – energy for the next tomorrow – and a name. And we all had a newfound sense of energy for moving forward.

Rune Energy symbolizes a sea change in an industry long overdue for one. Their visual identity couldn’t afford to fit right in.

Taking cues from various forms of natural and modern energy, their visual system is appropriate for the marketplace but stands out, flexible enough to work for the now and for the years from now.

We had the story set. We had the brand personality on paper. Now was time to tighten content and tell that story through the medium a lot of people will encounter first: the website.

Bold headlines, movement and a straightforward self-awareness infuses a — dare we say — energy into a site that stands tall amongst competitors stuck in the past of aerial b-roll and empty language.

Rune Energy now has the confidence to go where they know they can go. Case in point: when most Climate Tech has struggled to raise seed rounds, Rune Energy took their new name and brand to a $7m seed round.

Some would call that a 117x return on investment.

As for us, we can’t wait to see where Rune goes from here.
